With over 9,000 miles (15,000 km) of coast, New Zealand has an abundance of species you can target from a kayak. • The grandfather hapuku aka New Zealand scorpionfish aka New Zealand red rock cod is covered with prickly venomous dorsal spines and should be handled with care. Their venom is not fatal to humans, but result in a rash and up to an hour of moderate to intense pain. • • • • • @berleypro @yakfishtv @yakfishfield @kayakfishnic @urbanlegendii.ih #fishvillage #yakfishing #fishingexperiences #kayakingadventure #fishingtravelagency #fishingtravelcompany #fishingtrips #kayakfishingtrips #australia #newzealand #fishaustralia #fishnewzealand #bucketlisttrip #fishtheworld #fishing #sportfishing #saltwaterfishing #scorpionfish #grandfatherhapuku

Would you swim in ‘The Lake’? – As #Canberra sweltered last night I was lucky enough to be invited on board the @teamgoodang tub for some Redfin schooling on Lake Burley Griffin. Yep, ‘The Lake’, that big body of water we all know and love so well, but never seem to use, even… when it’s 40+. I’ve walked it, run it, ridden it, picnicked at it, dated at it, even roller-bladed around it in the late 90s, and of course driven around ‘it’, and over ‘it,’ far too many times to recall. So to be fishing on ‘IT’, with a breeze at our back and fish on the bite, made me think why can’t we, and don’t we, use ‘The Lake’ more… More than the very few who currently use it to sail on, windsurf on, paddle on, fish on, row on, or even #shockhorror to swim IN? The romance subsided a little when this little #Redfin decided to knock my #CapitalFroth over on his way back in, but spilt @capitalbrewing beer aside… perhaps it’s time for a dip in ‘The Lake’… it’s certainly hot enough. #WouldYouSwimInTheLake #CBR #LakeBurleyGriffin #Redfin #Fishing #HeatWave

Note, these photos are not stored on our website. These are pulled from Instagram via oEmbed content technology. oEmbed is a format for allowing an embedded representation of a URL on third party sites. The simple API allows a website (like ours) to display embedded content (such as photos or videos) when a user (in this case on Instagram) posts a link to that resource, without having to parse the resource directly. This means if you are viewing our email sent to you after this post was published, this content will not show up in your email. You’ll need to click the post title in your email and jump over to our website to view this content. You will be able to access the photo owners Instagram pages from the embedded content in the post if you wish to follow or interact with them.
